Dragon Age 4 Lead Producer Fernando Melo leaves BioWare – Windows Central

What you need to know

  • Anthem’s Lead Producer Ben Irving left BioWare recently.
  • Today, reports emerged that Fernando Melo was leaving BioWare.
  • Melo was the Lead Producer of the upcoming Dragon Age 4.
  • It’s unclear how this will affect the project because he was very experienced.

A few days ago, Windows Central reported that Ben Irving, the Lead Producer of Anthem, was leaving BioWare. This was seen by many as a massive blow because he’s the person openly discussing plans for the future and communicating with gamers who are dissatisfied with the title. However, it looks like the departures haven’t subsided.

Today, PC Gamer reported that BioWare witnessed another departure. The outlet added, “Fernando Melo, lead producer on BioWare’s upcoming Dragon Age game, has left the studio, following Anthem lead producer Ben Irving out of the exit door.”

Melo has been at BioWare for over a decade, and he was the Senior Producer for titles like Dragon Age 2. He has a wealth of experience, and it seems like the team is losing a very talented individual. It’s unclear what Melo’s future plans are, but we wish him the best of luck on whatever project he accepts down the line. Hopefully, Dragon Age 4’s development won’t suffer as a result of this departure.
