And the Highest-Paid Actor of 2019 Is… – TooFab

He made $89.4 million from June 2018 to June 2019.

It’s that time of year again — the time when Forbes reveals which of our favorite Hollywood actors have more tens of millions than our other favorite Hollywood actors.

Although times have changed since Harrison Ford and Tom Cruise topped the list (back when A-list stars would earn $20 million up front and 20 percent of gross profit, a concept known as the twenty-twenty deal), Hollywood still has actors who can promise an audience so massive that they command an eight-figure salary just to show up to set.

The top-earning actor made $89.4 million from June 1 of last year to June 1 of this year, and his name is Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

“It has to be audience first. What does the audience want, and what is the best scenario that we can create that will send them home happy?” the wrestler-turned-actor told Forbes in 2018.

For the upcoming “Jumanji: The Next Level,” Johnson will collect an upfront salary of up to $23.5 million, his highest quote yet. He also receives up to 15 percent of the “pool” (the money leftover after most of a film’s bills are paid) from high-grossing franchises, including “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.” Additionally, The Rock gets a whopping $700,000 per episode of HBO’s “Ballers.” Plus, he rakes in seven figures in royalties for his line of Under Armour clothing, shoes and headphones.

Wowza.
