They are one of the most famous – and fun – couples in showbiz.

And their fans were no doubt delighted when Chrissy Teigen and John Legend agreed to take lie detector tests for a video posted on Vanity Fair‘s new YouTube channel.

The revealing sessions covered a wide range of subjects to do with their relationship including the model’s heart-stopping question of the singer: ‘Would you ever have married me without a prenup?’

Legend, 40, thought for a moment before responding with: ‘I think prenups are a good thing to do.’

He then added: ‘I actually wish I knew you were gonna be so successful. I would’ve re-written the prenup a little bit! You’re a lot richer than I thought you’d be.’

Keeping a straight face, Teigen, 33, told her husband: ‘If you take one of my monies, I will kill you.’

At which point Legend burst out laughing.

Brutal honesty: Teigen, 33, plucked up her courage and asked her musician husband, who was hooked up to the lie detector: ‘Would you ever have married me without a prenup?’

Teigen and Legend met in 2006 when she was hired to star in a music video for Stereo, a track from his second studio album Once Again.

While he was making a name for himself in the music industry both as a solo artist and as a collaborator with the likes of Kanye West, Jay Z, Mary J. Blige and The Black Eyed Peas, Teigen was still a few years away from finding fame.

It wasn’t until she was named Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue Rookie of the Year in 2010 that she got her big break.

Legend proposed in December 2011 and the couple married in Italy in September 2013. They are now parents to daughter Luna, three, and son Miles, 18 months.

Long before he met his future wife, the musician had met Kanye West in 2001 and the two became friends.

Fast forward 18 years and the two have very different political and social views, with West fully supporting Donald Trump and Legend, a Democrat, publicly endorsing Senator Elizabeth Warren for president in 2020.

‘Do you miss the old Kanye?’ Teigen asked him.

‘Oh, sometimes, yes,’ he replied. ‘But people, you know, they grow, they change. Artists are who they are.’

She then wondered if he thought Kanye’s wife Kim Kardashian wears the pants in the relationship.

‘No, they seem like they have a kind of equal relationship from what I’ve seen,’ he said.
