AWE takes Jesse to the Investigations Sector of the Oldest House. The sector was sealed off permanently years ago after a catastrophic accident took place in the area. Jesse is sent into Investigations to hunt down a strange being that’s been skulking around the sector for years. To find the peculiar creature, Jesse must probe and explore other Altered World Events from the past, including one from the town of Bright Falls, which features in Alan Wake. The writer has been missing for ten years and makes an appearance in this Control expansion.
Also included in the DLC is a new Service Weapon form called the Surge, which is pretty much a sticky grenade launcher, and a new type of enemy known as the Hiss Airborne Rangers. In addition, players can get to grips with an all-new Time Trial and Horde Modes.
