Trevor Noah’s ‘Daily Social Distancing Show’premieres on TV – New York Daily News

The coronavirus crisis can’t keep a good comedian down – and out.

Trevor Noah will return to his late-night post on Monday, but not in the fashion many of his fans have grown accustomed to over the last couple of years.

The Emmy Award winning funnyman is bringing “The Daily Social Distancing Show” — the digital substitute for the long-running Comedy Central chatfest “The Daily Show” — to television audiences in his regularly scheduled time slot.

Due to the deadly disease also known as COVID-19 gripping the world, production of all late-night shows was halted last week.

On Wednesday, Noah launched his show, which features him and his team reporting from their homes. He joined other hosts, including Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert and Jimmy Fallon, in providing online versions their respective shows.

Fallon and Colbert’s shows have already migrated to TV.

Deadline heralded “The Daily Social Distancing Show with Trevor Noah” for being “the most elaborate among its YouTube-bound late-night brethren, featuring complex editing involving numerous short clips as well as images and graphics.”
