Brie Larson is the real-life superhero we don’t deserve!
At the London premiere of Captain Marvel on Wednesday night, the star of the upcoming Marvel flick chatted and posed for photos with a young girl dressed up as her titular character on the red carpet.
The 8-year-old Captain Marvel, real name Illy, then interviewed Larson and, later, her costar Samuel L. Jackson too. The carpet moment was arranged by The Female Lead, a non-profit organization “dedicated to making women’s stories more visible and offering alternative role models to those ever-present in popular culture.”
The Mini Me Marvel also had the chance to snap pics with other members of the cast and crew, with Larson keeping a protective hand on her shoulder.

When Captain Marvel hits theaters March 8, Larson will be the first woman to lead a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie. After 10 years and 20 previous movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Captain Marvel is the first film depiction of the Kree-Skrull War, the long-raging rivalry between two alien races in the middle of which Larson’s titular hero finds herself.
