Netflix is adding 35 new movies and shows this week: June 14-20
While everything around us may feel uncertain, there is one thing we can all rely on: new movies and TV shows coming to Netflix each week.
This week brings a new season of a Ryan Murphy Netflix Original, a new weird game show, and a new season of a fantasy horror show.
On Thursday, June 18, The Order season 2 hits Netflix. The show follows Jack Morton who is out to get revenge for his mother’s death, but in doing so, he must join a secret society which leads him into a war between werewolves and those who practice dark magic at Belgrave University. You know, just your normal young adult drama show.
If you haven’t seen the first season, you should check it out now! It ends with a great cliffhanger that sets up the second season.
If you’re more in the mood for a game show, Netflix’s new show, Floor is Lava, comes out on Friday, June 19. This show is exactly what it sounds like. It’s based on the game we all used to play as kids where we had to find a way around the room without touching the floor. How this got developed is anyone’s guess.
Teams compete against each other to see who can stay away from the floor the longest. It’s hosted by Rutledge Wood and looks like a modified version of American Ninja Warrior and Wipeout.
Or, perhaps you’re looking to binge-watch a political drama? You’re in luck because Ryan Murphy’s The Politician is back for its second season on Friday, June 19. The series follows Payton Hobart (played by Ben Platt) as he does anything and everything to become the next president of the United States. But first he has to win the election at his high school. In season 2, Hobart is set on unseating the Senate Majority Leader in the race for New York Senate.
You can also look out for season 3 of Marcella on Sunday, June 14 and Disclosure, a documentary on trans people working in Hollywood on Friday, June 19.
