Nick Hornby’s hit novel “High Fidelity” has been reimagined as a Hulu series with Zoë Kravitz as the lead — and the author endorses the gender twist.
“I thought it was really cool, especially when I found out who the woman was going to be,” Hornby told The Post’s Nicki Gostin at a New York screening. “I never thought it was about guys particularly. I thought it was about music and relationships.”
The 2000 feature film version starred John Cusack as a record-store owner struggling with love and in pursuit of making the perfect mixtape for it all. These days its music obsessed author says, “I do make Spotify playlists — but they cannot be as good, because you haven’t spent the whole three minutes listening to the song. So many times you get the idea for the next song while listening to the previous song . . . so they’re inferior.”
The very English scribe also weighed in on Megxit, telling us of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: “Good luck to them. I mean, who wants to stay with that lot?”
