Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle are feuding. Well, that’s the news on the grapevine, but it isn’t necessarily true. Rumors have been circulating about the sisters-in-law being at odds for a while now. It all started when Markle reportedly made Middleton cry during a debate about bridesmaid dresses for Markle’s wedding.
The internet took the news and ran with it which has ended up with explosive rumors about the two being in a continual feud. Social media is already very stressful for the royals due to the bullying; fake news only makes things worse. This is how the Duchess of Cambridge deals without fueling the fire.
Kate Middleton stays out of the spotlight
While Markle seemingly welcomes cameras, possibly because of her former life, Middleton shies away from them. For example, Markle wore an extremely casual outfit to meet with the new deputy press secretary knowing cameras would be around. Middleton would do what she could to stay prim and proper to avoid potential negative press.
Before the Duchess of Sussex entered the picture, Middleton’s name was largely left out of controversy. Considering that she is the Queen to be, it comes as no surprise that she wants to avoid the press and social media whenever possible.
Middleton embraces her motherly duties

The beloved Duchess has three beautiful children and a loving husband to keep her busy at home. Prince George and Princess Charlotte have been keeping Middleton occupied for a few years. Adding the adorable Prince Louis to the mix only makes things better for the Duchess. While she does have royal help when it comes to childcare, she loves spending quality time with her little ones. She even brings them with her to work sometimes.
Middleton also embraces the little chores in life. She loves grocery shopping and cooking and does her best to stay on a healthy track. Her schedule may keep her busy but she gets in the kitchen as often as possible. While she’s all about eating clean, she makes sure to cook her kids fave, pasta, every once in a while.
The Duchess of Cambridge keeps busy with royal duties
When she isn’t living life to the fullest with her family, The Duchess of Cambridge is tending to her royal responsibilities. Middleton has several patronages and charities that she is associated with: Action for Children, Action on Addiction, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, Evelina London Children’s Hospital, National Portrait Gallery, Natural History Museum, Nursing Now Campaign, and Place2Be.
Considering the sheer amount, the Duchess has many meetings and public appearances penciled into her schedule.
Outside of working as a Patron, she also has other royal events that she must attend, and appearances she must make alongside her fellow royals. When she isn’t needed by her charities or her family, she purposely flies under the radar.
Middleton and Markle aren’t feuding
When it comes down to it, the Duchesses are just very different. While they both married into the royal family, they come from two unique backgrounds. Markle is an opinionated, strong-willed Hollywood star who worked her way up from the bottom. She’s used to putting on a buzz-worthy show for the cameras. Middleton was raised very proper and her introduction into royal life, while bumpy, was much more streamlined. She was always the quiet, reserved type, so she fits right in.
The two also have no reason to be besties. They get along just fine and attend their royal functions together without incident. They’ve even shared some bonding moments and appreciate each other despite their differences.
