Rami Malek Eyed for James Bond 25 Villain Role But Mr. Robot May Nix It – IGN

Scheduling conflicts seem to be in the cards.

Rami Malek is reportedly being eyed for the villain role in Bond 25, but his scheduling with Mr. Robot may conflict with the shooting time, as reported by Variety.

Bond 25 is set to begin filming at Pinewood Studios on March 4, 2019, with Mr. Robot shooting from March through July.

We found out in September about director changes, as previous director Danny Boyle left the film due to “creative differences,” that are said to be issues over the villain casting, and Cary Joji Fukunaga now set to direct the film.

A new release date was also announced after the director change, with Bond 25 hitting theaters on Feb. 14, 2020.

Daniel Craig will be returning as James Bond, along with Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw, and Naomie Harris.

Just last week it was released that Léa Seydoux, who played Dr. Madeleine Swann in Spectre, will be reprising her role as well.

Screenwriters Neal Purvis and Robert Wade – who have been writers on every Bond screenplay since The World Is Not Enough – were hired for the screenplay following Boyle’s departure.

Jessie Wade is a news writer at IGN. She has a small obsession with the Bond films and thinks Rami Malek would make a stellar villain. Follow her on Twitter @jessieannwade.
