Even network TV hosts and anchors are working from home! Here’s how Jimmy Kimmel, Jimmy Fallon, Al Roker, Savannah Guthrie and more are doing it.
USA TODAY
Savannah Guthrie is back in the “Today” show studio, rejoining co-anchor Hoda Kotb after spending the last two weeks working from home with a sore throat out of caution due to the coronavirus pandemic.
“This is Studio 1A – I haven’t been here in a while,” Guthrie said Tuesday from behind the desk.
Her co-host Kotb welcomed her back warmly.
“I was going to say, so many things right now are not normal and in this moment, right now as I’m looking at you, something finally is,” said Kotb, who has continued to host from the NBC studio. “Good to see your face.”
Guthrie said it was nice to be back in the same room as her co-host, but she wished “we were closer, like we used to snuggle up, but we’re practicing our social distancing.”
The two later posed for a distant selfie to mark the occasion.
“Reunited!!!” Guthrie captioned the Instagram post.

The “Today” host, 48, announced on Instagram March 17 that she would begin anchoring the NBC News morning show from her basement. She said at the time she felt “good” but would follow advice from “NBC’s superb medical team” to err on the side of caution after an employee who works on the show tested positive for coronavirus.
“Well, this will be a first. I’m going to be anchoring TODAY from my house!” she wrote. “In an abundance of caution, and to model the super vigilance the CDC has asked of all of us, I’m staying home because I have a mild sore throat and runny nose.”
