Stanley Cup-winning Capitals included in Google’s emotional ‘Year In Search’ video – Russian Machine Never Breaks

The Washington Capitals won their first Stanley Cup championship in June. Tuesday, tech giant Google included the hockey team in their “Year In Search” video for 2018.

Featuring some of the most powerful and viral moments of the last 12 months, an exuberant Alex Ovechkin is featured raising the Stanley Cup as the team’s radio voice, John Walton, screams “The Washington Capitals are champions!”

Google also announced that the Capitals were the top trending NHL team of 2018.
