‘The Bachelorette’ Finale: What Happens to the Guy Who Doesn’t Win? – Showbiz Cheat Sheet

We are at the precipice of what could be called the most important episode of a Bachelorette season, the finale. It’s been a tumultuous season for Hannah Brown. For some reason, it seems like she didn’t have the crème de la crème of men to choose from.

From night one, she has had to sift through who was there for the right reasons and who was there just to get a little fame.

Who does Brown have left?

After many tears and arguments, Brown has finally narrowed it down to her final three men. She has Peter Weber, Tyler Cameron, and Jed Wyatt left to chose from.

Unfortunately, two of the men have a lot of rumors flying around about them. Wyatt was accused of going on the show just to promote his music career. His ex-girlfriend, Hayley Stevens, said that she and Wyatt had plans to get back together as soon as he came back from filming.

Weber’s ex-girlfriend claims that she was in a long-term relationship with him where they talked about their future, only for him to break up with her to go on The Bachelorette.

Cameron is the only candidate who doesn’t have any scandals…yet.

Who does Brown pick?

We aren’t going to spoil the final episode of the show for you. You can head over to Reality Steve for that, but we can tell you that Brown’s decision was a tough one.

According to host, Chris Harrison, Brown fell in love with two of her final men, which obviously is going to make this finale pretty insane.

“I know Chris Harrison says it every season — the most dramatic episode ever — and I’m like, ‘Chris, come on! This is like, so not! Sometimes it is, and sometimes it’s not.’ Last season with Colton, I thought, ‘Oh, we can’t get more dramatic than this,’” former Bachelorette Ali Fedotowsky told Entertainment Tonight of the finale. “I think this finale might top that finale!”

What else happens on the finale?

Tonight, the audience is going to start getting all of the answers they have been wanting to know. Like if Wyatt was actually planning on getting back with his girlfriend after the show.

“Clearly there’s been a lot of accusations, been a lot of things said about Jed… I wanna hear him talk,” Harrison told Entertainment Tonight. “I wanna hear him answer some questions and there are a lot of things that need to be said and I’m gonna push him, but I wanna have that conversation. But there are a lot of things that remain to be solved as we head into this two-night finale.”

The audience will also get to hear Weber’s explanation of what went on with his ex.

“Peter is going to have a little explaining to do,” Harrison continued. “I know more about Peter, just because I did some digging. Because some allegations were made in her claims that had to do with us and casting, so I was just curious so I asked around. In that regard, I’m less worried and less intrigued about Peter’s situation. Because I know some truths that either I’ll explain or Peter will explain.”

And tomorrow night, viewers will find out who wins the whole season. But what we won’t get to see is what happens to the guy who doesn’t win.

What happens to ‘Bachelorette’ runner ups?

The natural inclination would be to think that all Bachelorette runner ups go on to be the next Bachelor. Which may have been true, for the most part, until Bachelor in Paradise came about. Now, there is so much time in between The Bachelorette and the next Bachelor that the runner-ups are no longer top of mind for most viewers by the time casting for the season begins.

Bachelor in Paradise also gives audiences a chance to get reacquainted with other guys who may make good leads. Just look at Colton Underwood and Nick Viall.

Underwood was not the runner up of Becca Kufrin’s season, but audiences bought into his plight for love on Paradise and he got the chance to be the Bachelor.

Nick Viall also won viewers over on Paradise before becoming the Bachelor, himself.

So what happens to all of the runner-ups who don’t go on to be the Bachelor? Well, typically they either open a gym, a la Peter Kraus, or they just continue to make money from social media endorsements.
