He was 43.
Gabe Solis, the ex-husband of Trina Braxton, lost his battle with cancer, Thursday (Dec. 20), TMZ reports. He was 43.
Solis passed away at his home in Texas, surrounded by friends and family, according to the outlet. No official details have been released about his passing.
Solis had reportedly been keeping his cancer battle private. His death came as a shock to his loved ones. On Friday (Dec. 21), Braxton seemingly mourned the loss of her ex-husband with a cryptic Instagram meme reading, “I need a hug..E bottle of wine.”
The former couple tied the knot in 2003, and appeared together on previous seasons of WEtv’s Braxton Family Values. Despite finalizing their divorce in 2015, Braxton and Solis confronted lingering issues from their marriage during an episode of Iyanla: Fix My Life, earlier in the year.
Braxton has since moved on to a new relationship, but remained friends with Solis.

The Netflix show The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is coming to an end. However, the show is going out in style and giving us a moment to remember.
The trailer for the comedy series’ final season shows one of the show’s stars Tituss Burgess (who plays Kimmy’s roommate Titus Andromedon) paying homage to one of black America’s most beloved ’90s sitcoms, Living Single. The recreation was titled Magic City.
The video shows the cast of UKS- Titus, the show’s titular character (portrayed by Ellie Kemper) Jacqueline (Jane Krakowski) and Lillian (Carol Kane)- recreating the scene that fans should remember from the show’s theme song.
Burgess is also seen recreating the shadowy dance-sequence in the theme song, shimmies on the stoop with his cast mates, and changes up the lyrics in the song.
“It’s a nineties kind of world/ and everyone is gay/ when I say, Titus, you say nothing…” he sings.
The second-part of Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt’s last season will available to stream via Netflix on Jan. 25. Burgess’ time on the show has earned him four Primetime Emmy nominations as well as two NAACP Image Awards nods for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

The video follows the song’s original release in Oct. 2018. “Money” is the first single to drop since Cardi’s certified-platinum album Invasion of Privacy, which dropped in April 2018.

Part of what makes Mariah Carey’s nearly 30-year spanning music career so epic, is her medley of remixes that makeover her original tunes with hip-hop and rap features. And Cardi B is the latest rapper to express interest in working with the music titan.
In an interview with Extra on Thursday (Dec. 20), the rapper spoke with A.J Calloway about a Mariah Carey collaboration that was rumored to happen earlier this year. “It’s not in the works,” the 26-year-old said. “It would be nice if it could be in the works. I’ve just been so busy that I haven’t had time to do my own songs.”
Rumors of a Cardi and Mariah union first began swirling after an episode of Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. Carey previously expressed interest in creating a hip-hop remix of her song “A No No” off of her new album Caution. “I would love for that to happen. The song you guys were just playing, ‘A No No,’ which was originally Lil’ Kim’s song — we love Kim — I was hoping that the three of us could do a collaboration,” she told Cohen.
The Long Island legend has worked with Da Brat, Missy Elliott, Shawnna, and Nicki Minaj.
