SUMTER, S.C. — A video of an unexpected duet between a man and a donkey has gone viral.
The video was posted to Facebook by Travis Kinley on June 25. He’s seen with a horse and donkey in the background before he bursts into one of “The Lion King” movie’s most well-known songs.
That’s when his donkey, Nathan, joined in — with perfect pitch, of course.
“I got (Nathan) from about the North Carolina, South Carolina line,” Kinley told WLTX. “He was causing some trouble at someone else’s house and I just picked him up for $100 bucks, he seemed alright with me.”
Kinley said he decided to sing the song after his friends jokingly requested it.
“So, I got in the pasture, I gather all horses…. I start singing and Nathan starts to bray behind me, and I’m kind of blown away because we never do this together; we never sing together,” Kinley told the station. “He keeps going, so I keep going, and all of a sudden I just kind of break down laughing at the end.”
As of Sunday, the video has been viewed more than 1 million times and shared more than 40,000 times.
