WWE’s ThunderDome set will make its debut Friday night on SmackDown and registration for virtual seats hit capacity in quick time.
The company had initially said registration would begin Monday night, but things clearly got delayed as that didn’t happen until Tuesday evening. Sources say registration for virtual seats in the ThunderDome at SmackDown hit capacity in minutes though after going live.
We’re told WWE will open registration for SummerSlam later this week.
The top of the registration page states: “Be part of SmackDown hosted by a WWE SuperStar!”
No additional information was given on what being part of the virtual crowd would entail.
As we previously reported … WWE will be bringing fans back into the arena via live video on massive LED boards for their upcoming residency at the Amway Center. The shows will also include state-of-the-art technology, drone cameras, pyro and more.
Kevin Dunn additionally revealed during an interview that the virtual crowd will not be shown on one video wall. The arena will instead have 1,000 LED boards with rows and rows of fans to simulate the WWE experience.
