Batista is back.
The main attraction at Ric Flair’s 70th birthday celebration turned out to be The Animal beating the hell out of The Nature Boy.
Slotted in the main event segment of this week’s episode of Raw, Flair was set-up to enter the ring as the final guest.
Triple H, Stephanie McMahon, Shawn Michaels, Ricky Steamboat, Kurt Angle, and Sting were all introduced to the crowd while Raw’s roster stood at the top of the entrance ramp.
Then they waited for Flair. The 16-time world champion’s music hit and everyone still waited. Finally, with Flair still not walking out, WWE cameras panned to the backstage area to find the birthday boy.
Instead of Flair, viewers got Batista entering his dressing room, slamming the door shut, then dragging out the guest of honor out by the collar of his shirt.
Batista’s surprise attack comes just two weeks after reports stated that the Guardians of the Galaxy star was in talks with WWE about WrestleMania 35.
The last time WWE fans saw Batista on TV, he was cutting a memorable promo at SmackDown 1000.
