German configurator accidentally reveals upcoming performance flagship, complete with aggressive bodykit and quad-tipped exhaust.

The new-generation Mercedes-AMG CLA45 S has been leaked on the company’s German configurator, giving us an early look at the new performance model.
German publication Auto Bild was the first to discover the above image, which shows a matte grey example when selecting the AMG Night Package. It has since been taken down.
From the single rear quarter image we see here, the CLA45 differs from the CLA35 with a more aggressive diffuser with quad exhaust outlets, a more prominent lip spoiler on the boot lid, different wheels, and ‘CLA45 S’ badging.
We can also see massive brakes poking out from behind the black star-spoke alloys, with big red calipers. Rounding out the changes are darkened LED tail-light clusters.
Final specification for the new A45 and CLA45 are yet to be officially confirmed, though AMG boss Tobias Moers has previously gone on record saying to expect around 420hp (313kW) from the flagship ‘S’ versions.
With that in mind the pocket rocket Mercs could complete the 0-100 sprint in under four seconds, while the performance-oriented 4Matic all-wheel drive system will also have a ‘Drift Mode’.
Expect the new A45 and CLA45 to be revealed very soon. Stay tuned to CarAdvice for all the latest.
