It won’t be Black Friday 2018 until November 23, but retailers are already releasing their Black Friday ads to get potential customers primed for the big shopping day. Kohl’s has put its Black Friday ad online, showing doorbuster deals and mega-discounts on everything from socks and jewelry to kitchenware and electronics. Also scattered throughout the ad are some great deals on video game hardware for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and more. These largely mirror the deals we’ve also seen at other retailers, but with the added benefit of Kohl’s Cash. Let’s take a look at all of the video game deals you can get from Kohl’s this year on Black Friday.
The discounts are separated into two categories: doorbusters and regular Black Friday deals. Doorbuster deals offer the biggest discounts and are available for a more limited period of time. Online doorbuster deals begin at 1:01 AM ET Thursday, November 22 (10:01 PM PT Wednesday, November 21). In-store doorbuster deals begin at 5 PM local time on November 22 (opening times may vary at some stores, so it’s best to double-check before heading out).
The standard Black Friday deals start earlier in the week online. They begin on Kohls.com at 1:01 AM ET Monday, November 19 (10:01 PM PT Sunday, November 18). In brick-and-mortar stores, standard Black Friday deals begin at 5 PM Thursday, November 22.

In addition to the discounts listed below, a few other deals are also in play. For every $50 you spend between November 19-23, you’ll get $15 Kohl’s Cash, which you can redeem November 24-December 5. Additionally, you’ll be able to enter promo code CHEERFUL at checkout online to receive 15% off your purchase (there’s a printable coupon in the ad you can use to get the same deal in-store).
With that out of the way, let’s look at the video game deals. In terms of doorbuster sales, you can get an Xbox One S 1TB Minecraft Creators Bundle, plus $60 Kohl’s Cash for $200. Or if you want a little more power, you can pick up an Xbox One X 1TB PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds Bundle, plus $120 Kohl’s Cash for $400. Xbox One and PS4 controllers will also be available for $40 each.
If you’re in the market for a Nintendo Switch, you can get a bundle that includes a Switch, a carrying case, and a Turtle Beach headset , plus $90 Kohl’s Cash, for $330. And if old-school gaming is your thing, you can pick up an Arcade1Up Retro Arcade (which comes with 12 games), plus $105 Kohl’s Cash, for $350.
The standard Black Friday video game deals drop the prices of the Atari Flashback 8 and Sega Genesis Classic to $40 each. You can also pick up a Super NES Classic and $15 Kohl’s Cash for $80.
