Crackdown 2 is Now Free on Xbox One – Thurrott.com

Microsoft announced that it has made Crackdown 2 available for free on Xbox One via Xbox Backward Compatibility.

“Crackdown 2 is coming to Xbox One Backward Compatibility today and will be available for free,” Microsoft’s Larry Hryb tweeted last night, linking to his own list of older Xbox and Xbox 360 titles that are now available to Xbox One gamers via Backward Compatibility.

Crackdown 2 is an Xbox 360 title that was originally released in 2010 as a sequel to the original Crackdown. I was a huge fan of the original game, but I don’t believe I ever played Crackdown 2, which was admittedly less well-received than the first one. Which is also available for free via Xbox Backward Compatibility and has been since November.

Crackdown 3, of course, launched in early February and is available to gamers who subscribe to Xbox Game Pass.

You can find Crackdown 2 on the Xbox Store.
