David Spalinski, who is the Designed Lead at Epic Games, amusingly admitted on /r/FortniteBR that Epic forgot to add Fortnite’s Vending Machines to the snow biome.
Season 7 v7.00 revamped a quarter of the Battle Royale map, adding a new snow biome with new points of interest such as Frosty Flights, Happy Hamlet, and more. Interestingly enough, players noticed there weren’t any Vending Machines.
After Redditors on /r/FortniteBR called-out this seeming issue, David responded admitting that the team simply forgot to add Vending Machines to the new biome; a rather humorous mistake.
Vending Machines were added in Fortnite Season 3 with the v3.40 Content Update. These machines are essential to the overall flow and meta of the game as they allow players to trade materials for weaponry and other items.
It’s no surprise that players noticed a lack of the machines at the new points of interest. It seems Epic was caught-up in the chaos of Fortnite Season 7 that the idea slipped their minds.

That being said, David assured fans that the v7.20 update will brings Vending Machines to the winter area of the map. Would you like to see a map of these once they’re added?
An official date and time for the v7.20 update has yet to be announced. Epic Games is currently on holiday break, so expect the update after the new year has began.
