Roman Reigns vs. King Corbin

The top feud on SmackDown right now is Roman Reigns versus King Corbin. WWE decided to run hard with a dog-themed storyline for this one, thanks to Roman’s “Big Dog” moniker.

It started off with King Corbin making fun of Roman’s shrinking testicles and how he sounds like a chihuahua. There was some bad CGI of a high-pitched yipping dog to demonstrate this point:

One week later there was a segment with a big dog mascot bowing down to King Corbin, accompanied by more high-pitched dog noises:

More recently there was a segment where King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler smeared dog food all over the Big Dog while he was chained and handcuffed:

Reigns had his moments as well, such as spearing Corbin at Survivor Series and being his team’s sole survivor. Reigns also violated Robert Roode’s wellness by throwing a table on top of him.

This heated rivalry will finally hit its peak tonight (Dec. 15) at TLC 2019 with a Dog House Match Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match, and this one has a chance to main event the pay-per-view even though there isn’t a title up for grabs.

WrestleMania season is right around the corner, so it feels like the right time for Roman to put Corbin away and move on to bigger things by the time the Royal Rumble gets here. But you can never count King Corbin out, after all he’s the guy who sent the legend Kurt Angle into retirement as a loser earlier this year.
