Steam Announces Its 2src19 Best Selling Games

Valve has announced this year’s crop of video games which sold and have been played the most over the last twelve months on the Steam gaming service.

As measured by gross revenue, the twelve best top-selling titles were: “Total War: Three Kingdoms,” “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice,” “Destiny 2,” “Civilization VI,” “Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege,” “Monster Hunter World,” “PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds,” “Grand Theft Auto V,” “Warframe,” “DOTA 2,” “The Elder Scrolls Online” and “Counter Strike Go.

In terms of new releases in 2019, the twelve best top-selling titles were: “Devil May Cry 5,” “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order,” “CodeVein,” “Destiny 2,” “Remnant: From the Ashes,” “Planet Zoo,” “Total War: Three Kingdoms,” “Halo: The Master Chief Collection,” “Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice,” “Mordhau,” “Red Dead Redemption II” and “Resident Evil 2”.

Many of the aforementioned titles made the most played list as well along with “DOTA: Underlords” and “Path of Exile: Conquerors of the Atlas”. In terms of games that were Early Access and became full releases this year, “Green Hell” took the top spot with the likes of “Oxygen Not Included,” “Battalion 1944,” “PC Building Simulator,” “Astroneer,” “Slay the Spire” and “Beat Saber” also making the list.

Steam of course doesn’t take into consideration games available only through other services like Epic or Origin, or console-only games. That’s why best-selling titles like “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare,” “NBA 2K20,” “Borderlands 3,” “Kingdom Hearts 3”,” “The Division 2,” “Super Smash Bros. Ultimate” and “Apex Legends” didn’t make the list.
