Super Smash Bros. Ultimate: We’re streaming the first few hours of gameplay – Polygon

We’ve finally got our hands on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, so we’re going to unravel his hefty bundle of joy live on the internet. According to our review, it’s really good, probably the best game in the series since Super Smash Bros. Melee all those years ago.

But as grandma always says, the proof is in the smashin’. We’ll be starting from beginning of the game so you can see what’s unlocked from the first moments. With over 70 characters, 103 stages, and a load of items, there’s a lot for us to explore.

(And there’s a faster way to unlock characters too — but we probably won’t subject you to it.)

We’ll also poke around in World of Light and Smash Board, the game’s new bizarrely complex loot-driven modes. If you’d like to understand more about Ultimate’s single-player you can read our preview here.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate officially comes out on Friday, Dec. 7 for the Nintendo Switch. Make sure you subscribe to Polygon on Twitch and check out our YouTube channel, where we’ll be covering Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s release.
