Roger Waters covers John Prine’s “Paradise.”

Roger Waters is joining the legions of musicians paying tribute to late Americana legend John Prine.

On Saturday (April 11), Waters shared a video of himself performing an acoustic rendition of “Paradise,” which appeared on Prince’s 1971 self-titled debut album.

“My friend John Prine died. This is his song, ‘Paradise,’” Waters captioned the YouTube video. “Miss you, brother.”

Prince died on April 7 from complications of COVID-19. The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter was 73.

Rogers is one of many musicians remembering Prine through song. Over the past week, numerous others — including Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Erich Church, Jeff Tweedy — have also paid tribute to the fallen musician.

In the week leading up to Prine’s death, after hearing about his hospitalization from coronavirus, Waters shared a video wishing the artist a healthy recovery.

“John Prine lives in all our hearts,” Waters captioned the March 29 tweet.
